An appraisal will generally be required if there is financing involved. An Appraiser will make an appointment to visit your home. This visit should take about an hour, and as in the case of inspections, it is best if you are not present. This is a buyer cost, and the actual appraisal document belongs to the buyer and/or the lending institution. The results are rarely disclosed to the seller unless there are issues. Should that occur, we will inform you and discuss what are possible next steps.
